Liz, thank you for sharing this account of your son's life. He must have been so devastated, especially since he followed the Lord's edicts; taking a vow of purity; not dating while in high school, and he was so young. Then he served our country and ended up being injured. Sounds a bit like Job in the Bible in how faithful he was to God and ended up losing everything...but you know how the story ends! Job received double for his trouble because he did not forsake God. Lord, I pray for Liz's son who experienced such devastation. Touch his life, Lord. Be with him as he heals, emotionally and spiritually. Keep his heart Lord, until You are ready to give it to the right person.

I can tell you about a narcissist. I'm the mother of 7 children; 6 sons and 1 daughter. My 5th child was the most well-behaved and faithful Christian of them all; also very intelligent. He took a vow of purity while in high school. He chose not to date, but to wait for God to send him the right woman to court. After college, he taught in the Christian school he had graduated from. Then he joined the Army. When he was in Iraq he ran over a IED and received a whiplash and head injury. When he returned home a woman heard about him and sought him. He was 29. He thought she was sent by God. She had 3 children from 3 different marriages, and was only 26 years old. She told lies about her ex-husbands. My son married her and she destroyed him. She claimed to be a Christian, but managed to devise ways to keep him from going to church. She told everyone that he was gay-"obliviously because she was the 1st woman he was ever with, and more so because "all male school teachers are gay." He was a very good money manager, but she caused him to lose his house and all of his money, as she had done to her husbands before and after him. She completely demoralized him. She faked illnesses or injuries in herself and the children in order to get him to leave his classroom and rush home only to find out it was all a ruse. She had several abortions during their marriage, telling him they were miscarriages, and later telling the truth and that he wasn't the father anyway, because she had been with a former husband, or another man. After work my son did all of the house work and childcare, and had to stay up late grading school papers. The next day the house was a pigsty and she told everyone he made it that way. When he was finally able to break free of her she went on to bankrupt and destroy at least 7 men and their children so far.
