Homes of Refuge
Our Vision for the Future
Our transitional housing program would provide long-term housing to help women grow in a safe environment and become financially stable. They would be offered Bible studies and spiritual formation classes in which they could grow spiritually as they progress on their healing journey.
Some women have pleaded:
“I don’t know where to go for help. I don’t have the money to get a place to live for me and my kids. Please, please help!”
“Please, can someone help me? I’m trying very hard to rebuild my life. I’m feeling alone and afraid I’ll go back to my abusive husband. I need help so I can make a good life for my kids. Please help me.”
When a woman leaves an abusive relationship, a shelter may be her first step to safety. Shelters are only a short term solution to a larger problem. Affordable housing in connection with a ministry that can lend support is crucial. The number of women that have come to our ministry seeking housing has increased, but we have to refer them to local secular agencies because we do not have the space to take them in. Has God spoken to your heart about helping women in need?
How can I help?
- Donate a house and receive tax benefits
- Donate the use of a house where you maintain ownership
- Contribute monies toward our “Homes of Refuge” fund
Do you know of a business looking for tax write-offs that would donate a house or small apartment building?
