While there are many agencies which help support victims of domestic violence, FOCUS Ministries is one of the few able to offer training to churches, organizations, and individuals who want to do likewise.

Seminars & Workshops

Whether you are interested in becoming educated yourself or bringing training to your church or organization, our Seminars & Workshops offer comprehensive information regarding the dynamics of domestic violence and abusive relationships, best counseling practices, appropriate responses from the church and Christian community, and the development of a domestic abuse ministry within the church setting.

Tools for Pastors

Pastors and church lay leaders are encouraged to visit Tools for Pastors which will provide nuggets of information to better equip pastors to recognize domestic abuse, appropriately respond, and counsel wisely. Focus Ministries can partner with pastors and churches to assist them with specific cases of abuse within their congregation. Our desire is to work alongside the church as part of the body of Christ to address a devastating issue that is destroying lives.

Featured Book

Read about our featured book, Violence Among Us: Ministry to Families in Crisis, co-authored by Paula Silva, president of FOCUS Ministries. It was originally written to equip pastors, church leaders, counselors, and social workers. We have found though that victims and friends and family of victims are gaining a better understanding of abusive relationships as they read the book. It will prove to be a very beneficial addition to your personal or church library.
