This past weekend FOCUS Ministries was blessed to be a part of the Mission Fest at Trinity Lutheran Church in Roselle, Illinois. We are so thankful for their gracious financial partnership over the years! We were happy to have conversations with members of the church before, during and after each of three services. Many of the other twelve ministries at the Mission Fest were also there this past October so there were familiar faces and new people to meet.
So many of the people who stopped at our table were interested in our Teen FOCUS program and especially excited to hear about our new Youth Workbook Study project. We are all in agreement that it’s important to reach the young people with the Gospel and also with all the ways they can trust God to help them identify healthy relationships and run away from “red flag relationships”.
Several of the church and Mission Fest attendees were grateful to learn that our trainings for DV Certification and Support Group Leadership are now available on our website.
Trinity’s Pastor Keith Speaks centered his message on the struggles we face as workers in the Lord’s harvest as well as the peace and protection that comes as we remember the Lord is with us always. Chaplain Natalie was asked to describe how the Lord Jesus Christ has protected our ministry and the women we serve locally and across the nation.
We are very grateful for the assistance of our Very Valuable Volunteer, Nancy and for ongoing opportunities to share the mission of FOCUS Ministries with the churches who faithfully support us.
